It’s Election Season… Doughnut Forget to Register!

IMG_2530.PNG

Election season is here and we want everyone to get out there and vote! Because of this, we have started our own Johnny Doughnuts Voter initiative we’re calling the “Doughnut Forget to Vote Campaign”, with the end goal of educating and activating our young and underserved population to register and vote in this upcoming election.

AUGUST- Rock the Vote

For the weeks of August 17th- August 31st, we will be featuring a special selection of doughnuts that reflect our festival spirit for Inside Lands. The Inside Lands 6-pack box of doughnuts will include 2 Apple Cake doughnuts (New!), 2 Chocolate Salted Caramel Old Fashioned doughnuts, 1 Vanilla Old Fashioned doughnut and 1 Maple Old Fashioned doughnut. This box of doughnuts cost $35 and will be available to order for delivery off our website, or for pick-up. 35% of all proceeds will go to Rock the Vote, a non-profit, U.S. organization that was founded in 1990 by Virgin Records America Co-Chairman Jeff Ayeroff, to encourage young people to vote. Wondering what Inside Lands is all about? Check it out here

SEPTEMBER- Buy, Share, Love

Phase 2 of our Doughnut Forget to Vote Campaign will include a special red, white and blue “Tastes like Democracy” doughnut that will be available for purchase beginning September 1 through election day, November 3rd, 2020. A percentage of all “Tastes like Democracy” doughnut sales will go to community oriented initiatives to further our mission of educating and activating on a local level. More details to come on this.

NOVEMBER- Vote, Vote, Vote!

On November 3rd, be sure to stop by any of our Johnny Doughnuts locations and show us proof that you voted by sporting your “I Voted” sticker, or by flashing your absentee ballot voter stub!

In the meantime, we will be sharing valuable information over our social channels as it relates to this election. Feel free to re-share, like and comment to help us spread the word!
